报告人简介：
　　Jinfa Zhang, tenured Associated Professor and Research Leader in cotton breeding and genetics research for the state of New Mexico, United States.

He obtained his Agronomy Doctor degree from Huazhong Agricultural University in 1993 and an Ph.D. in Cotton Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas, USA, in 1999. He worked as a Molecular Cotton Breeder in Monsanto before he joined New Mexico State University in 2002. He is serving on the editorial board of Cotton Science (China), Journal of Cotton Science (USA), Comparative and Functional Genomics, and PLoS ONE. He has released three commercial cotton cultivars since 2002 and numerous breeding lines, and has published about 60 refereed journal papers since 2002.
